Have you ever sold an item to someone at a trade show or Art Market and wanted to get an Etsy review, but just didn’t know how? With these 4 easy steps and a video you will be able to do just that!
Step 1 Make Sure They Sign In
Sometime last week Etsy rolled out the ability for buyers to purchase as a guest. That is great for the buyer, not the seller. You need them to sign into their account to make the purchase so that they can leave a review and see additional items that you offer in your shop when they favorite your store.
Step 2 Remove Shipping
Since you are selling the item in person, there is no need for them to pay for shipping.
Step 3 Accept Payment Through Etsy
Make sure the actual payment is made within Etsy. Through your Etsy account you can accept PayPal, major credit cards and direct payments. I’ve even heard of being able to accept Cash for in person transaction through Etsy. Haven’t tried that myself.
Step 4 Send a Thank You Message
Send a message after the payment is collected to Thank Them for shopping with you. You can also encourage them to leave feedback about the item and experience. This sends a notification, not only within Etsy, but to their e-mail address too. That way when Etsy sends them an e-mail about leaving a review or a reminder e-mail about leaving a review they will remember what the heck it is for.
